![]() Formatting the drive should put you back to your starting state - you will then need to add the "Everyone" user again. Copy all data to another drive, reformat your hard drive and then copy the data back. If there is only a small amount of data on the drive you could start again. My guess is that you need to add access rights for the Administrators and Users groups to the drive. My guess is you've somehow managed to inadvertently remove some of the previous access rights on the drive. The second image is the problem - its going to be difficult to diagnose this remotely. Its just telling you that you cannot change the access rights on the the $Recycled folder (as it is a special windows folder). I don't mind that much, its a home network anyway, but I wonder what will happen in public networks.ĭenyAll wrote:The first image above - don't worry about that, it's normal. ![]() There's a obvious drawback, all shared files now belong to literally everyone who join my WiFi. Its kind weird since all my things were all shared, but I guess TV sharing works a little different than I expected(This is my first smartTV). This worked for me like a charm on both my Windows 8 Blue(beta) and Windows 8 Pro-N. then on right hand side of screen select DNLA. configure: AllShare Settings: Menu->Network->AllShare Settings Use: SmartHub->AllShare Play select the content type: video, audio or photo. on your samsung tv UE46ES6100, to access emby dnla use AllShare Play app. Note that this will give everyone on your home network access to these folders.Īnd now I'm feeling stupid. the emby dnla server cannot be accessed from the tvs source menu. In Win7 (sorry haven't got Win 8, but suspect its largely the same) right click on the folder, select Security tab, Edit, Add and type in "Everyone" without the quotes. If a Windows user, the easiest way is to give the user "Everyone" full read and write access to the folder you wish to share, and all subfolders and files.
